The II Conference of Europe's trams is e)mission neutral certified

The Balearic Government's Ministry of the Environment and Mobility, and the public company Trambadia have organized another edition of the Conference on Europe's trams (Conferencia Tranvías de Europa).

After the success of the last year´s Conference, during which the twenty-fifth anniversary of the modern tram in Europe was commemorated, this year´s event aimed at raising awareness of citizens to the advantages that this means of transport offers, and how it has modernized cities where it has been introduced in their public transport network.

The Conference took place from the 17th to 18th of March in Palma de Mallorca. Public institutions, European tram representatives, tram contractors, sector professionals and other interested individuals participated.

In this year’s edition the conference promoters decided to offset the Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) generated by the organization of the event, thereby reducing their impact on climate change.

e)mission was in charge of studying and measuring the carbon footprint of the event and providing the offset. Trambadia acquired the e)mission neutral certificate recognizing the conference as “emission neutral” and confirms its total offset carried out through the e)mission project portfolio.
