EDP Richard Branson Visão Innovation Prize for Clean Tech

The Innovation Prize, which awards Eur 50 000 to an enterprising project concept in the area of clean technology, aims at supporting innovation and overcoming market barriers to start-ups. Cleantech categories include clean forms of power generation, energy efficiency, intelligent grids, and storage and distribution of energy.

The deadline for submission of candidatures is the 8th of April, on the Prize website: www.premioinovacao.com. The Prize is open to teams of candidates of any age, which are resident in Portugal. For full details, refer to the Prize Regulation.

The Prize is promoted by EDP, the utility, and VISÃO, the weekly news magazine. Sir Richard Branson is the President of the Jury and takes the final decision on the prize winning enterprise project.

e)mission is represented on the Jury and the Technical Committee. The logistics of promoting the prize, including travel and the award event, are e)mission neutral.
