AMI Foundation formed a partnership with e)mission in order to implement an internal strategy for emission reduction and develop a campaign for the promotion of a “low carbon” economy.
With this partnership AMI starts the route to achieving e)mission neutral certification, reducing its carbonic impact increasing the energy efficiency of organization, and offsetting the inevitable emissions through international quality carbon credits. These efforts will result also in the reduction of their operational costs, mainly through the energy savings because of efficiency improvement measures.
Terrasystemics, consultancy company operating in the areas of environment and sustainable development, accredited by “Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia” (Division of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation dedicated to energy and geology), represents in Portugal the e)mission services brand, and will collaborate with AMI measuring the carbon “foot print” resulting from the team air travels to diverse projects supported in developing countries.
AMI encourages the emergence of a “low carbon” society and economy
Being an organization dedicated to the promotion of sustainability in Portugal or in developing countries with high levels of poverty, AMI’s intention is to reassure that their activities won’t result in a negative impact for the environmental changes. And also, intends to leverage its partnership with e)mission to develop an awareness action intended for the public in general, as also for the public and private organizations, tending to the emergence of a “low carbon” society and economy.
e)mission will give donations to the Foundation
TerraSystemics will give a donation to AMI by each entity that chose’s e)mission carbon management and offset services through e)mission neutral AMI Campaign. These donations will be used by the Foundation to fund “low carbon” projects within and outside Portugal. Those interested in joining this campaign only have to contact AMI or TerraSystemics, requesting a proposal and quoting the promotional reference “AMI e)mission neutral”.
