Your objective will be to develop the e)mission customer base in Portugal.
Operating from the TerraSystemics office in central Lisbon, you will be responsible for building up new and maintaining existing customer relationships in the Portuguese market, to both public and private sector voluntary clients, working to meet the e)mission Vision and Mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing the existing customer base;
- Promoting and selling e)mission services and products to meet and exceed clients' needs, through innovation in the services provided and added value to clients´ experience;
- Acquiring new business: Introduce e)mission through different appropriate means and positioning;
- Representing e)mission at meetings with clients, conferences, exhibitions, forums etc.;
- Designing additional innovative products and services;
- Negotiating contractual arrangements with potential customers;
- Overseeing proposal development on identified, strategically important opportunities;
- Contribute to and learn from e)mission Partner marketing experience in other national markets;
- Developing the account business plan;
- Preparing status reports on sales efforts
- Achieving monthly and yearly objectives.
Skills sought:
You will have a deep and demonstrable commitment to climate change action and be confident about the business imperatives of a carbon management policy.
- Background will indicate an understanding of related scientific issues, corporate sustainability and marketing;
- Sales spirit with proven knowledge of sales techniques, including ability to capture and close client opportunities in a B2B or B2G (business to government) context;
- Good understanding of the nature of the carbon market and ability to communicate the benefits of a differentiated product and service;
- Fluency in Portuguese is a must, as well as good knowledge of English;
- You will have good organisational capacity, great communication skills and a presence that is consistent with the objectives of this opportunity
- You will have good judgement, have a good eye for detail, are disciplined and manage time effectively even under pressure.

As part of its growing activities in carbon origination, Access2 Carbon Markets, Ltd, is seeking a carbon development consultant to join its team.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying project opportunities for developing carbon assets, CDM or VER, in particular in Africa and Latin America;
- Managing the carbon project cycle, from PIN to successful registration with the CDM or relevant voluntary standard;
- Project due diligence including financial and technical analysis;
- Interacting with project partners and third parties to develop the project and maintain good working relationships;
- Supervision of all registration, validation and verification activities;
- Deal structuring and CER-VER off take to public and private clients;
- Contribution to writing of articles, presentations at conferences, training and capacity building activities in developing countries.
Your skills, qualifications and experience:
- Degree (Licenciatura, BSc or MSc) in engineering, science or other relevant field;
- 1 - 3 years work experience in relevant fields, preferably connected with carbon markets;
- Strong technical skills and experience in areas such as energy, waste, industrial sectors;
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines;
- Pro-active and with a good eye to develop opportunities;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people on the ground as well as with high level public servants;
- Fluency in English and Portuguese is a must; good working knowledge in Spanish is ideal.
